By booking a makeup service with Lauren Meredith Makeup, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking. 

 

​The following expressions have the following meaning: “Artist” refers to Lauren Meredith and any member of her team she may work with whilst “Client” or “Bride” refers to the person or persons responsible for making the booking

Booking & Payments

To book in for makeup services, please email laurenmeredithmakeup@hotmail.com or use the contact form available on this website. 

- A non-refundable deposit of £75 is required to secure your bridal booking. For occasion makeup or makeup lesson bookings, a non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure your booking.

- All payments for bridal bookings must be paid via BACS. Any other appointments may be paid via BACS or cash. 

- For bridal bookings, payment must be made in accordance to the payment terms laid out in the contract you sign when booking.

- Occasion makeup appointments must be paid for at the time of the appointment. Any travel charges will be paid for prior to the appointment.

- All fees will be in accordance with the prices listed on this website and will be confirmed at the point of booking.​

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

- For all cancellations, please notify us in writing at laurenmeredithmakeup@hotmail.com

- For bridal bookings, if a cancellation is made less than 42 days before the event, the Client will be liable to pay 50% of their final invoice. If the Artist receives notice of cancellation 14 or less days before the event, the Client will be liable to pay 100% of the final invoice.

- For any other makeup services, cancellations made less than 48 hours before will be liable to pay 50% of the the total service cost. Failure to do so will result in no future appointments being booked in.

- If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate. This may result in your deposit being forfeited and a new deposit being required for the rescheduled date.`

- All appointments are non-refundable. Acceptance of the completed makeup application is acknowledgement by the Client that they are satisfied with the makeup and no refunds will be offered.

Force Majeure​

​

- The Artist is not liable for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, including illness, accidents, extreme weather, or other events beyond our control. In such cases, your deposit will be refunded, or we will reschedule the service at a mutually convenient time.​

Health & Safety​

​

- All tools, brushes, makeup products and other items will be fully sanitised before and after use.

- It is your responsibility to inform the Artist of any allergies, past reactions, skin sensitivities or health conditions, prior to your appointment.

- We reserve the right to refuse an application if any of the parties have contagious conditions or have flu like symptoms or a temperature.

- In the interest of your personal health, safety, and well-being, and to that of the Artist and other clients, the following contraindications will prevent or restrict any client's application/styling: eye infections; conjunctivitis; viral infections; cold sores/facial herpes; open/weeping wounds or sores; fungal infections; ringworm; warts; severe sunburn or first degree burns; burns from facial waxing; psoriasis; nits/head-lice; scabies; impetigo; prior reaction; bruising and flu like symptoms or a temperature.

Liability​

​

- The Artist holds no liability for any allergic reaction or injury resulting from the makeup application.

- The Artist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used. If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged.

- The Client is liable and agrees to compensate for any loss or damage to the Artist, their personnel and equipment provided the loss or damage was caused by a person other than the Artist or their assistants.

- For appointments held at the Artists home address, the Artist is not liable for any accidents or injuries that may incur whilst the Client is on the property.

Use of photos​

​

- Lauren Meredith may take photographs and videos during your appointment for use in our portfolio, on social media and for promotional materials, unless you provide written notice before your appointment opting out.

Travel fees & additional charges

​

- A travel fee will be applied to all bookings where the Artist is travelling to a location to complete the makeup service. This will be charged at 50p/mile and will be confirmed at the time of booking.

- The Client is responsible for all additional travel related fees - such as and not limited to, parking fees, tolls, hotel arrangements and flights. These fees will be discussed at the time of booking.

- An early morning fee may be applicable to your makeup appointment if the start time is before 7am. This will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Late arrivals

- If you are late to your appointment, your service time may have to be reduced and the service adapted to be able to be completed in the allocated time. 

- If you are more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Your deposit will not be refunded and you will be liable to pay 50% of the service price.

Children & additional guests
 

- We kindly request that no children or additional guests accompany you to your appointment, unless prior approval is given.

- Anyone under 18 years old who is booked in for a makeup service must be accompanied by an adult.

Confidentiality and Data Protection

 

- We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you provide (such as contact details or skin conditions) will be kept confidential and only used to provide the best service. We do not share your data with third parties without your consent, in compliance with privacy laws.

Amendments

​

- We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The updated terms will be available on our website, and it is your responsibility to review them before making a booking.
